Hi, I’m Heather, the artist behind The Cozy Bat. 🖤

I’m a mom of two, a USAF veteran, and someone who rebuilt her life from the ground up. After leaving an 18-year marriage and stepping into a completely new chapter, I found myself rediscovering who I really am—creating a life that finally feels like mine.

This business was born in that space. Out of change, healing, and a lot of late nights figuring things out, The Cozy Bat became more than just art. It truly became a way to create something meaningful, personal, and a little magical.

I’ve always been drawn to things that are a little different. Things that are soft but spooky, cozy but a little chaotic, beautiful in ways that don’t always fit the mold. I call myself “dark and twisty” on the inside, but I’m also deeply extroverted and love connecting with people. My work reflects that balance—gentle and warm, with just enough edge to feel real.

Bats have always been my favorite (and yes, I even have three tattooed on my neck to represent me and my two kids 🦇). I collect odd things like faux skulls, hoard pens and art supplies, and believe that your home should feel like you, not like something out of a catalog.

Most importantly, this is a judgment-free space. Life is too complicated and too short not to let people be exactly who they are. If it brings you joy and doesn’t hurt anyone, I’m here for it.
